Now we’re really getting close!
Finally I am feeling more ready for Cash’s arrival. (feels so good to type his name, especially since we’ve had it picked out for so long) 🙂
This past Sunday we did a big Babies’ R Us trip to do my final registry purchases. Nothing like cramming it all into one weekend! But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do!
Then of course there was lots of sorting & de-tagging so I could do endless loads of laundry this week 🙂 Brad now loves the term “nesting”. He knows when I wander upstairs at night that’s pretty much what I’m up to. Haha. I just want to be prepared. Yes, even though I know it’s never really possible (I’ve only heard that from every single person who has talked to me about my pregnancy), I still feel like if I can feel ready it will be much easier.
I’ve skipped the chalkboard the last couple weeks. But hey it happens. And I figure all of the pictures I just posted count! I’ve been trying to work as many hours as possible so that I can have something saved up for when I’m on maternity leave (so far that’s not really working but at least I’m keeping busy). So here is the list of questions answered… and week 36 will get a new photo! Along with some new nursery photos cause that is coming along nicely!!
How far along? 35 weeks and 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: The best thing about this move… we threw out the scale. So I really have no idea. I’ll have another doctors appointment next Thursday, I’ll know then.
Maternity clothes? yep, that’s what I live in. besides Brads shorts occasionally.
Stretch marks? still none yet! only a month to go 🙂
Sleep: ha. it’s so up and down, naps are still my friend. I think my body might be getting used to the lack of sleep. uh oh.
Best moment this week: Having mom here. Feeling like we are finally getting everything ready for Cash to arrive. Our first Halloween in the new house, it was pretty entertaining!!
Have you told family and friends: All the important people in our lives know.
Miss Anything? Just being able to sit comfortably.
Movement: When doesn’t he move 🙂 I totally still love it! Unless he’s kicking/punching one of my ribs but even then it’s nice to feel him.
Food cravings: nothing really. I’ve been having to force myself to eat. Nothing really sounds that great. And the lack of room makes it worse of course.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Eating too much or not enough will make me feel sick every time. But nothing has made me queasy.
Gender prediction: He’s still a boy! It would be entertaining if all of sudden we had a girl.
Labor Signs: It’s still hard for me to tell. Sometimes it feels like my stomach tightens but there hasn’t been any pain.
Belly Button in or out? Flat. Some nights it seems like it’s pushing out more.
Wedding rings on or off? Off. I’m really sad about this. I know I’ll get to wear it again but it means my hands are killing me most of the time which is no good.
Happy or Moody most of the time: I’m starting to feel like a roller coaster again. Mostly happy but there are definite moments of sad/mad/scared/tired/crazy.
Weekly Wisdom: Don’t forget that you really can never be ready. Babies were raised with way less stuff than they say you need now, so don’t sweat it you probably don’t need most of that stuff. (I wish I could remember this all the time)
Looking forward to: Jaz & Hailey being here this weekend. & Brad coming home from his business trip (he just barely left).

Not too shabby for a first year while pregnant! |
And of course… Happy Halloween! We had fun last night passing out candy to trick or treaters. We decided it’s a little crazy, after all we could barely sit down. With almost 200 pieces of candy (because I had some extra in the cupboard) we still ran out before 8pm. But it kept us entertained.
Brad also met our next door neighbor.
And his friend from the gym came by with his wife and son, mainly so I could meet his wife, who conveniently is a labor & delivery nurse at the hospital that I will be having Cash at!! She was already so helpful with questions and we exchanged numbers so that I can keep asking! 🙂 I figure she is an excellent person to know at this point!
That’s all for today…
Welcome to November!
