24 weeks

Only a little behind… But hey it happens.
Brad is finally home now (hopefully for no travel for a few months).  We had a very exciting end to our week. To back track a little… On Monday Brad & I talked about our frustrations about still waiting on this short sale to process and decided we should look at the current market just to see what else is out there. Luck would have it he found something right away and texted me the MLS so that Amanda (our realtor) and I could go check it out right. We went Wed evening and of course it’s near perfect. New carpet, new paint, and almost all of the things we wanted in a house (minus the granite counter tops, island kitchen & extra spacious loft from the other but we can sacrifice a little for a first house). So instant offer that night. Accepted the next day and Friday was a small whirlwind when I picked up Brad from the airport. But the best news yet it’s ours… pending all inspections go well… so please send good thoughts & keep your fingers crossed for us!

Lets get to the next exciting stuff… Had a doctors appointment this week also. Everything is going smooth. Baby J sounds good and is moving like crazy. I think this one was more for me to ask a bunch of questions, which was awesome. I am not feeling as overwhelmed, only 85% haha… but we’ve got time still and I’ve made lists 🙂
We are officially at the end of 24 weeks. And the belly is showing itself more and more. Enjoy.

How far along? 24 Weeks
Total weight gain: almost 18 lbs! WHOA MAMA. Yes, that  means I gained approx. 8 lbs. this month… I blame Seattle thank you delicious seafood & dessert
Maternity clothes? Why didn’t I get comfy stretch waist band pants sooner? haha… I’m pretty sure every pregnant woman says this. It is sooo much more comfortable!

Stretch marks? None on my tummy. A few on my hips/butt. But they could be just reappearing from my freshman 30 that was gained then lost.
Sleep: not as great lately. Brad being gone for work didn’t help. And I wake up quite a bit. But last night was better than it’s been (he came home yesterday).
Best moment this week:  Getting our house!!! And Hearing at my 24 week appointment that everything is still looking good & going smoothly! I just feel so lucky & blessed that my pregnancy has been so great so far.. let’s hope we can say the same about the labor! 🙂

Miss Anything? I actually really wanted a drink this week. So strange for me but it could just be because I bartend and was talking drinks with some of the guests last night.
Movement: He is a crazy man! I love it! So much moving. Brad really felt him this morning it was pretty cool for us both.
Food cravings: still salt ugh. I don’t even like salt normally. Kettle chips are my weakness and hash browns extra crispy.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I feel bad about this but other peoples body odor the smell seems so strong to me. I get really nauseous when its bad B.O.  I have never reacted like this it’s almost comical.  I guess I should be grateful I’m not personal training right now lol…
Gender: BOY!
Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: I thought it would be good to add in a “symptoms” line item – this way I can document that I started having round ligament pain and the bottoms of my feet kill me at the end of the night, at this point in pregnancy.
Belly Button in or out? In-ish. It’s about half as deep as it was when this began.
Wedding rings on or off? On. Off at night cause sometimes I get too hot and my fingers swell.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy 98% of the time. I still get fairly emotional. And my patience is almost non-existant, which is weird to me.
Looking forward to: the house! the house! the house! September 19th we should have the keys! And then I will feel like we can finally start buying things 🙂
