i keep telling myself I’m going to do an actual end of the year post.
danielle at take heart gave me an excellent idea
She wrote about The Year I, here’s mine…
2013 was the year I felt stronger. The year I traveled to Washington more times than I can count. The year I found my courage and inner self. The year I saw our son experience so many of his firsts (crawling, foods, steps, words & more). The year I watched him turned One. The year I lost all of the baby weight & then some. The year I (we) took our kid to the emergency room twice. The year I was blessed to spend most of as a stay at home mom. The first year of my life, since age 4, that I played soccer less than 3 times. The year I didn’t miss running, then I did. The year I planned a wedding in 9 months. The year I discovered more of myself & my own passions. The year I really appreciated where I came from. The year I loved the desert more than ever. The year I was shocked, hurt and then let it go. The year I strengthened my relationship with God. This was the year I married the man of my dreams.
The year life got so much better.
2013 will always be a life changing year for me. It was monumental in my story. I am so excited to piggy-back off of it and make 2014 just as great. I cannot wait to see what is next for our family. I am also excited to grow this little blog and my own creative passions.
Because this quote is too fitting, truthful, amazing not to share, I’ve taken it from Danielle’s page
{thanks danielle for the wise words i would love to know where you got them}
“for what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you’ve never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.”
maybe now I can get on that post about all of my “resolutions” goals and hopes for 2014.
or maybe I’ll just focus on making them happen. yeah that works too.
i really need to go buy a new planner now.
Stay tuned this year for more fun and growth in our/my story.
